Cotter Pin, 5/64" dia x 3/4" length - MS24665-227

Cotter Pins, 5/64" dia x 3/4" length, Used with AN3-4-5 bolts. Cadmium plated steel. Note: AN6-7-8 bolts use 3/32" hole size and AN9-10-11 bolts use 1/8" hole size.

Before ordering connecting rod bolts, check the configuration status of your connecting rod by referencing CMI SB00-3A (see page 7 & 8). P/N 530184 connecting rod (identified by casting number 530186), A35159 (identified by casting number 5561) and A35160 (also identified by casting number 5561) must be serviced as follows: 

P/N AEC530213, SA530213 bolt, P/N SA24804 or P/N 24804  nut, and P/N MS24665-227 cotter pin. 

Newest style: 655959 bolt utilizes nut 654487 or AEC626140 or SA626140 (self-locking) and no cotter pin is needed. 

Note: Continental does not make the 530213 bolt any longer, but still make nut P/N 24804.
